PRICE PER FOOT OR METRE OF FRONTAGE
How this is estimated

What the calculator assumes.

Conversions. One foot is exactly 0.3048 metres, an acre is 43,560 square feet and a hectare is 10,000 square metres. Frontage times depth assumes a rectangle; for a pie-shaped or irregular lot, use the area on the survey or the assessment notice.

Comparing lots. Price per front foot is common for city building lots, where width decides what can be built; price per acre suits rural land. Zoning, setbacks, services (water, sewer, hydro) and development charges change what a lot is worth to you, so check them with the municipality. For a finished home, compare recent sales with the comparable sales calculator, and add the land transfer tax to the price.
